I just wanted to say I feel for you completely, though a little late. The same thing happened to me a few days ago. I renamed mine "My Precious," too, oddly enough.
If it taught me one thing, it's burn a back up CD every week. I've been working round the clock to download stuff off the net, but it's like trying to accomplish 5 years of work in as many weeks. I try to take it a day at a time sort of thing. The software was easy, but some things you forget where you got them, because the bookmarks have always been there and you've always had them, so you sorta put them out of your mind. And then when you really need them, they're not there. It's not so much frustrating as it is sad. I hope you're able to retrieve as much as possbible.
Yeah. I didn't realize how much I lost until I started going to use things that were just always there. I've gotten back a good amount of pictures and whatnot, but the writing is gone forever.
This happened to me about 7 years ago, too. You think I would have learned. Obviously not. I'm gonna get the lesson this time. It's good that you got it the first time around, if nothing else.
