Wine: Wyndham Estate Bin 555 Shiraz 2003 and Tefft Cellars Cabernet-Savignon 2003

Last Friday, the wine was Wyndham Estate Bin 555 Shiraz 2003. This was the wine I characterized as "trying very hard to offend nobody." It was a very soft wine, mildly oaky, with nothing much at all to recommend it other than that it is utterly unchallenging. You can easily drink the whole bottle, not that I recommend this. Have you tried the Rosemount blends? There's a Shiraz/*something* that's pretty drinkable, and then there's the Traminer/Riesling, which is also quite drinkable.

I usually like Rosemount, but I buy wines the way I visit restaurants: unless there's some overriding concern, I usually like to buy one I've never had before. Rosemount is sufficiently reliable that I'll buy it for a party, but not when I'm looking for something new and different.
