A bit of a warning. After you bull through the pain (back, calves, thighs, whatever) and the body decides you're doing something too important to stop now, it starts pumping opiates. This may be the reason for the sheer giddiness shown above, or the giddiness may be a perfectly justified euphoria at accomplishing a fitness-based goal.
Just a warning about day two. The opiates fade before the lactic acid and micro-damage to muscles do. So the pain rises again on the second day before fading. Still worth doing.
"dying to try out my new fitness"? You know what the REAL test for such fitness should be (twisted smirk).
