OH NOES! I'm SOOOO sorry! That happened to me too over the summer, but I only lost a few hundred dollars. $1300.00 is HUGE! It took a few weeks to get it all worked out, so I'm sorry you have to go through all that. *squeeshy hugs*

We got the money back now. They tried one more transaction of $699.63 but the bank put it back. I hope someone catches these crooks.

*smoochies and hugs!*

Oh no! That sucks! You know, I've decided that thieves really offend me. I mean, why do they think they have the right to things that aren't theirs, that they didn't work for and have no claim to? I know that sounds naive, but I'm serious! It would eat at me to take something that isn't rightfully mine. hmph

I know what you mean. I've been burglarized before, my car broken into, and been present when my dad was held up during armed robbery when we had a dry cleaners in Berkeley years ago. Pisses me off that people think they have the right to steal from you. I know you know this first hand after what happened to you. *hugs*

*wish Sephy wasn't insane...and that he was real. we could sic him on the thieves!*

I just hate thieves! We should be able to bury them up to their necks in sheep poop!

I see it all the time working at the bank. It sucks how they can get your numbers so easily now a days. And yeah, when a purchase is under 'authorization' we can't touch it..not without the merchants approval, and then that doesn't guarentee it still wouldn't post. Luckily someone actually caught it now, so the investigation and such will go faster. I always tell customers it's best to check your account daily. I don't know if you bank shows them, but where I work, you can view the check card holds before they post to the account.

It's funny, I usually check every other day or so but the Thanksgiving weekend was just so crazy and I'll bet they were counting on that. *stabs them in the virtual eye*

They tried another $699.63 transaction after we'd already blocked the card so that was put back in our account. The NERVE of these thieves! *grrr*

Hope Christmas is looking up a little bit more for you sweetie. Thinking of you and the boys. *huggles*

Yeah, then target more about the holidays, when people are more busy.

I got your card last week. Thanks very much for the money for them. I'm debating taking it to buy them something or to let them just each get some of it and pick what they want. *hugs*
