Wonder Woman's new look. Never mind the backstory reboot, never mind the character's future - I'm addressing the new duds, and the new duds only. The thing of it is that while I do love the concept of wonder woman and the sheer possibilities her background and storyline provide I've always wondered why the hell and Amazonian princess with a few thousand years of greco-roman history (and that's just on her own home island) is wearing outfits like that (and I get it, I really do, from a marketable standpoint but not so much from the character's history and background)

Yeah, I've wondered that too. Ignoring when the character was created and, like you said, marketability, it is a pretty unthinkable costume combo. :P
Well, superhero names and costumes were icons of the genre in their early days, and they've held fast for so long. By today's standards, they're corny and overdone, but that's after seventy years of tradition, so I understand why no superhero comic publisher is about to give them up completely. Still wouldn't miss them myself, though, being a child of the 90s.

Not that I ever read Wonder Woman.
Also, who says supers can't vary costume every once in a while? On a hot day she can ditch the jacket or get back the shorts.
Seconding your bonus and adding "least favourite haircut ever".

I'm not fond of the bald+goatee either. Although I'll admit it's stored fondly in a corner of my heart, entitled "Fuzzy, you ham." Which is all kinds of odd, because actual fuzzy ham is a cause for concern...
