Well, one thing's for sure: you didn't get that scholarship for nothing. Even with the risk of sounding lame I'm gonna say that this is really good. Of course I only get about the half of this, or less, since I don't have an absolutely clear conseption of who Uruha and Ruki are, still less what they're personalities are like in real life. Therefore the whole "fanfiction" part goes above my head. But as a text, a short description, this is very capturing and, well, feels real. And not to mention you wrote this in English, which isn't your first language. I'd say I quite much enjoyed reading this. ^^
Keep on writing. You've got a solid base here. :)

You know, the word "scholarship" echoes American universities and football teams and MONEY to me. What I got from the magazine should've been called a.. a "kiva moraalinen kannustuspalkinto", or something, since I wouldn't call 30 e a scholarship. *pout* So, they think my three years in that crappy school and my awesome 95 points essay is WORT 30 EUROS?? They could go and.. *mumbles*

*GLOMP* Thankies^-^ Knowing your skills as a writer that sounded very encouragin :P I know I'll never be able to write anything even remotely funny, since I'm one EMO bore, but I like creating these Little Moments. Maybe, one day, I'm content enough to start a real serial <-one of my silly "has to do before turning 50" dreams~

And, if this or any of my texts were translated into Finnish, they'd be.. quite crappy. Dunno why, but English always makes texts look cooler^_^ I like the crazy amount of adjectives and adverbs<3 Plus, you can write as corny texts as you want, and they're almost readable in English, no matter how many cliches you've stuffed into

Yeah, I couldn't come up with a better word than "scholarship". But hey, none of those were much bigger than that, mine were 35€ and 50€ (this I got coz of the history O.o). I guess the one thing from Finnish Chemicals is quite big though, they always are...In Parainen, Partek donated a scholarship worth 1000€ to the student who did best in maths. =.=

Don't trash yourself, I found this piece even to be quite funny, in it's own way. (This is coming from a person who hates traditional humour nad adores Bill Murray. :D)
Have you ever noticed that you can translate almost any text from Finnish to English but the other way around it's nearly impossible coz as a language English is so much richer? That's so disturbing. ^^'

Of course I read this, how could have I resisted? ^^ And don't worry, if I thuoght this was rubbish, I would have said so, since it's the biggest favor the audience can do to a writer. But I didn't say that, did I? :)

you create some very nice imagery here, and the voices of your characters come across well. love how Ruki's all romantic and caught up in the moment and Uruha's more practical, more... wise, I guess? and imagining uruha pushing a stroller is quite amusing; I always forget he's an uncle.
I'm pretty worn out so the useful things I want to say aren't coming to me right now, but I did enjoy how you wrote this, and I would definitely encourage you to write more.
