Yeah, we've defo arrived in the part of the year where being a welder is NO FUN.

It's bloody hot. Been sweating streams.

I meant to show everyone THIS the other day. Yup, we were the CHannel four news special report. Except, of course, the don't actually mention US once, they just chat about Mark, who came and saw us for oooh...about...an hour? ( Read more... )

I admire practicality more than many other human attributes. You are so handy!

I was melting like cheap margarine just walking down the road today - I can't even imagine how sweaty it must be for you.

Cycling will at least generate your own breeze!

It is crazy hot. A few summers ago I was welding up a piece of a boat - it was a huge weld, about three metres long, and by the end of it not only had I almost melted...the front of my welding screen HAD melted. This is the plastic which sits about two inches in front of my face. It's rated to stand 200 degrees!

the worst thing is having to get all dressed up with no exposed skin. I have all sorts of inventive ways of being covered up but not too hot! I look like a fool, but I really don't care.
