I didn't even hit your car....

So. I have had the worst luck with driving lately and it is always on my way to go do my ethnographic fieldwork. I have a hard time motivating myself to go do it sometimes, so I occasionally swing by a local McDonalds for a shake as a reward. Not anymore. At least not for a while.

Earlier, I had been in a minor accident in the McD's parking lot. Not ( Read more... )

I know I'm late in reading this, but: WHOA. That lady was CRAZY. I'm so glad you stayed safe in your car!

One time, I got yelled at in a parking lot, but it wasn't nearly as scary as your situation. I was sixteen and driving to band camp at my high school--one of the first times I drove somewhere regularly by myself. I messed up at a stop sign, either not stopping long enough or trying to go before my turn, and I got honked at by this big truck. I don't remember coming very close to hitting it--I think it was mostly that I was unintentionally rude. Then, when I walked from the parking lot to the school, I happened to walk past the two girls from the truck. One of them started to yell at me, but the other one went, "Hey...come on...she's just a kid." Being an oversensitive, novice driver, I was traumatized and arrived at band practice all a-jitter, but I'm still grateful toward the more sympathetic of the two girls for keeping her friend from going crazy on me.

SHE WAS INSANE. I'm glad to know that I have good survival instincts because, honestly, there wasn't a lot of thought going on there.

Awww. Poor little Amanda. D: Still, it's good that at least one of the girls wasn't a total jerk.

I will never understand why people react like that. I mean, it can't be pleasant to go around angry like that all the time. Letting things go is just so much better for you, man.
