Well got some mail today for Rocket Herald, and Eleyne de Comnocke.

From the Registrar of Electors.

Dear Sir/Madam

A check of our records shows you are not enrolled to vote as an elector at your current address.

If you qualify for enrolment as an elector then you are required by law to apply to be on the electoral roll.

The only thing funnier I can think of would be to get a jury summons for Ragged Staff Herald!

That's hysterical!! I will have to look out for that when we move in Feb and get our mail forwarded by NZ post. Of course I'm not yet eligible to vote in NZ so I can just explain 'we' (being Melanie, Massaria and Crux) are all just non-kiwis and thus don't need to be on the electoral roll.

You may well be eligible to vote by February. Having as I do, co-incidentally (cough) enrolment papers to hand I can tell you that you need to be a permanent resident who has resided here for at least 12 months, and have been in the country at some point in the last 12 months. We aren't nearly as picky here about who we will sign up as you Aussies are.

Pity they didn't send you a pre-approved credit card!
I once had a deal of trouble getting the PO to give me a package addressed to Rocket. I think they gave in because the explanation was too silly to be false.
