I found this by chance in footballslash and I'm pleasantly surprised. I thought nobody had thought of this pairing in the English fandom :)

I like how you show how their relationship progress without ever spelling out said relationship, how it's just something that *is*. I love the music and literary references (and seriously Coldplay? Shame on you Xabier!)and how they make them fit.
It's a really sweet fic :)

Thank you!!

I'm disappointed Esteban/Xabi aren't more popular in the English fandom but I'm even more disappointed to hear there are fics out there but I won't be able to read them because it's in a different language. :(

I'm sorry to hear there aren't a popular pairing in English (I was hoping it was my lack of searching skills) :( . They are a few of them in Spanish but not knowing the language would be a problem :( It sucks.

i wonder if it's because esteban isn't as popular/well known in the english fandom. (and also because xabi is one half of the epic OTP)

btw! would you happen to know why is esteban's nickname 'the pirate'? i know he has a tendency to cover one eye when he celebrates a goal but why does he do that? and what's his relationship with quique gonzales?

Aw, this is wonderful! I love this pairing so much, they really seem to be made for each other somehow, aren't they? The the idea of them sharing music and movies is perfect - and how hilarious is it that they watched The Maltese Falcon? They MUST have picked up on the gay subtext! XDD Anyway, I also loved how Álvaro unwittingly (or on purpose? XDDD you never know with him!) put the idea of dating into Xabi's head... And the bit where Xabi suddenly looked for parallels between Stevie and Esteban. And, of course, that beautiful ending where not many words are needed but all of them (and all the others that weren't said) are understood perfectly. In short, I really really loved this. :)

May I archive this here? :)

"Pfff I don't know what I can say, I can only possibly imagine Xabi with Steve, but I suposse everybody have to try new things sometimes *runs to look for every Xabi/Esteban fic she can find* :)"

"I've really liked this fic, it doesn't tell 'nothing' specific, but it tells everything. They don't actually have a couple relationship, but the fic shows this kind of beginning slow, uncertain, full of doubts. I've liked the transition from friendship to something more, little by little, whithout great words or gestures, just the everyday relation, the rutine. I'm really surprised there's fic of this pairing in english because I've always though not the couple neither Granero are popular, but I'm really pleased that they become popular beyond our frontiers. Thank you very much!"

Btw, I don't know if I've forgotten to replace it somewhere, but "Xanero" is how we call the Xabi/Esteban pairing, y'know :P
