Hee, check it out, I'm on a roll. XD Another request done - this one's for jinsai! It turned out a little more... melancholy-ish, at first, than I intended, but I hope you enjoy it. :3

Oh, thank you so much for taking this up! There were some wonderful scenes with Tatsu and Okita in the anime, and yet I've always been left agonizing over the lack of interest over them in the fandom.

This does have a tinge of meloncholy, but really, the entire series does. Considering the eventual fate of the Shinsen Gumi, how could it not? The ending however converys a warmth and sense of temporary peace at the least, which I think is very fitting. Thank you!

Why thank you! I'm so very glad you enjoyed it. I agree, Tatsu and Okita's friendship is essentially ignored in the fandom, which is sad. Perhaps I'll write more about them in the future... I do love them both. And Tatsu, especially, needs some love! ;)

That's true, the entire series has a sort of melancholic undertone, I guess you could call it. I'm happy that I was able to end it on the note I was going for, though.

<3 Love it immensely. Just enough DOOM for my tastes (honestly, I'm a Souji angst whore), and yet still somehow very sweet. Very good portrayal of them both. ^^

That is so sweet. I particularly like how Tatsu makes an effort to suppress his mother-hen instincts around Okita.

Hee, thanks! I love Tatsu's mothering (he's so cute), but I suspect that Okita would not appreciate them quite so much. ^^; I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Oh, yes I did, and thank you SO much! I'm so sorry I haven't replied yet; I was attempting to figure out just how much I really have read of the manga, because I had forgotten that StopTazmo had up to ch. 24 of SIPM and that I'd read it before. :P So yes, what I said before still stands - I've only read up to volume 3 of PeaceMaker (but that was a loooong time ago) - except that I have also read up to volume 5 of SIPM as well.

...As for the rest, I'll answer your email properly just as soon as I get the chance. ;)

Wow, thank you so much!! I couldn't agree more on your rating of mother-hen types and underdogs on your scale of likeability. ;) That's why Tatsu is a favorite of mine, too... And yeah, what's not to love about Okita?? I hadn't really thought about their friendship until I got the request, and then looking back it kind of hit me that it was there. It is now one of my favorite PMK friendships, second only to Sano and Shinpachi. (Shinpachi is my favorite character, which is an odd choice for me; I'm not at all sure why he stuck out. Oh well.) :3

Thanks again! As we used to say in the LotR fandom, Praise from the praiseworthy is above all rewards. ;)

(And ack, I'm late on the last chapter of Murphy's Law. It's coming, though! It's almost done.)

Oh wait, my friendship favorites might be off. Because there's also Hijikata-Okita (which reminds me SO much of Tatsu-Tetsu), and Tetsu-Suzu, Tetsu-Susumu, Okita-Yamanami, Hijikata-Yamanami... Hmm, on second thought, I don't think I could rate these in any particular order. I love 'em all. XD

This is really lovely. And while I'm not a huge fan of Tatsu, I'm pretty much thrilled to read any PMK fic.
