Title: Stuck

mjls Fandom: Doctor Who

Giggles went through the TARDIS as the Doctor and Amy tried to reach each other but the TARDIS refused to let them. Surely the levels looked beautiful and were handy at times but when the ship was feeling rather peck'ish and felt like teasing, the Doctor and Amy had found themselves more than often stuck on one platform without the stairs so they couldn't get off and to each other.
Amy found this hilarious every time it happened considering the Doctor got all flustered and annoyed with his ship. Once he had even jumped from the platform, onto the console and so gotten down, Amy had been stuck at her platform until he had helped her down. However, it didn't seem like he was in a very heroic Indiana Jones mood today so Amy was sure she wouldn't see him do that console jumping trick again. Pity, his hair looked amazing when he did that, all over the place and in the end in front of his eyes.
"So..."
"...so," the Doctor sat down and pouted, it was adorable, Amy had to admit, from afar, he looked like a kid put in the corner because he ate the last cookie.
"Any progress on getting us out of here?"
"Nope," he popped the 'p' at the end, a slight remaining habit from his last incarnation he said but Amy didn't care, she did it too, as did the rest of planet earth when they felt like it.
"...So she's feeling peck'ish? Is that it? Because I don't see how this is helping her achieve her goal."
"Well she gave me a long piece of rope here," Amy shrugged, "I figured I could use it to climb down but I don't see how that would help you considering she doesn't listen to me."
"...That's it Amy! You're a genius have I told you that recently?"
"No but you can say it again," Amy smirked.
"You. Are. A. Genius. Now throw one end of the rope at me and tie your end to the grating."
"...What are you planning?" Amy asked suspicious.
"You'll see, now, rope!"
Amy threw the rope at him and he tied it to the grating just like she did and before she knew it, he was on the rope with his arms stretched out next to his body and his feet on the thin rope. Impressed, Amy kept staring at him as he walked over the rope towards her. It was after all, a treat to see such a clumsy man do something this dangerous that needed a lot of balance.
He managed to in the end, falling over his own feet at the last moment and on top of her, making her giggle at how well she knew him. She had expected this after all. What she didn't expect was their faces to be this close to each other she could feel his breath on her face and a blush to creep onto her cheeks. He gave her a bright grin and sat up, giving Amy barely any time to hide her disappointment that he didn't stay like he was.
"Oh now she puts the stairs back, yeah," he rolled his eyes as they both sat up, Amy still in a fit of giggles and the Doctor pouting at how he had ruined his performance at the last minute.
