I recently got a 360 and need ideas for games that i would like. The two games ive played are Viva Pinata, which i love and am addicted to hard core, and Oblivion. I have only played Oblivion for about 30 min though i do enjoy it. So, i like cutesy games and i like rpgs, though i prefer games that are not too complicated. I dont mind FPS's ( Read more... )

Just off the top of my head I am going to have to recommend Fallout 3. RPG by the folks that did Oblivion in a post apocalyptic world. Great story, tons of different ways to play and a light touch of FPS.

Any more I mostly play music sim games to relax, but that was the one title that sucked me in for months and months.

Real gamers use a computer or dice :P New laptop = LAN PARTY. And WOW is evil, it steals time away from more amazing games. The Dutchess is right about Fallout 3. Add Borderlands and Left4Dead to that list.

360 - Dragon Age
STO - I may be able to provide a hookup. I have keys and the beta (students at my school worked on it)

An STO hookup would be amazing. I've heard of a few people who get to play the beta!

It is FPS, but nothing hardcore. You have your general weapons and a "magic" type system they call plasmids which is all explained in the story.

Wonderful graphics and a really engaging story. The art direction is also amazing, and personally I think hearing old Bobby Darin play in a broken down underwater city is great.

You can pick up the first one for next to nothing anymore, and if you like it can always pick up the second which isn't out yet.

Also going to second brokenseeker's suggestion of Borderlands. FPS diablo style game that is a great time sink and doesn't take it's self seriously at all. Really fun to pick up and play.

Dragon Age Origin's has an amazing story, but if you have the option to get it on PC I would suggest that. The battle system isn't the smoothest using the 360 control pad.

I went to a used game shop tonight. They didn't have any of the games you and everyone else mentioned but I got "Blue Dragon." it looked cute and the guy that created FF games write the story and came up with it apparently. Dunno if it's any good but i'm stoked to try it out. The last complex game system I had was ps2 and that was almost 10 yrs ago that I played it with any kind of regularity, and since then I've been a computer person, so 360 co trols seem complex. Blue dragon seemed like a cute and easy game to practice with. Viva Pinata was the first 360 game I played and surprisingly it helped me greatly when it came to getting used to the control. I played Oblivion afterward and if I hadn't first practiced with VP I would have sucked majorly. Once iget the jist of the controls I want to play some multiplayer games, as those are the most fun IMO. My gamer tag is xsparklex1111 if you or anyone elsewants to add me. Oh, and I'm still in love with/addicted to Viva Pinata. Gotta get a Chewnicorn and a fourhead!!
