What was Jenna-Louise Coleman doing in that episode? Can someone explain it to me? She was supposed to start in the Christmas Special, right? Is it River Song backwards thing again?

Still, Oswin, the girl she played, was really awesome!

I am still astounded that they managed to keep that a secret. I have NO idea how it's going to turn out. Whether it's something timey-whimey or if the actual companion she plays will be a relative, like they hand-waved with other actors who've been on more than once as different people. Of course, that was with people who had small roles and where later cast as main ones, so this would be quite different if they went that direction.

I was on holiday when this aired and was alone in the hotel room with my aunt, and the entire time, she kept asking me things like "Does the Doctor love that Amy girl?" and "Why doesn't he just kiss her?" and now I officially have the largest possible emotional attachment to the Eleven/Amy moments in this episode. Help.
