They're trying to make us hate the Doctor. The worrying thing is, I kinda do a little bit. Rule 1 (: The Doctor lies), has never been more applicable. Best episode of the new half of the series so far in my opinion.

Loving the hipster glasses....Looked better on Rory than they did on Doctor or Amy though.

Karen did an amazing job! Bravo to her for her duel performance.

I don't know how to feel about the episode, though. I'm almost to the point of wanting the Ponds gone. And I never thought I'd say that as an Eleven/Amy shipper, but I'm done with everything being the Doctor's fault in their lives.

I'm getting sick of the angst without any resolution. There's no connection between the Doctor and Amy anymore. It's just dead space now. Don't get me wrong; I will always ship Eleven/Amy, but the writers are pissing me off by destroying their friendship/relationship/bond. Everything is being twisted to be Amy/Rory, and I'm too irrationally angry right now to think straight.

that's how I feel.
I can't believe how insanely cold they're having the Doctor behave lately.

it's hard to swallow as a big Eleven/Amy shipper...but I suppose Moffatt and co. REALLY want to drive home the Amy and Rory and (most likely) Eleven and River pairings.

BUT! I'm SO glad Amy got to be kick ass again. It was so belatedly deserved.
Karen was amazing.

our ship is sinking right in front of our eyes!! :( it makes me sad that theres barely any interaction between them now.

having said all that, this was an incredible episode. absolutely heartbreaking stuff! I cried buckets, it was such an amazing performance from Karen.

This one was beyond amazing. I can't believe that the Doctor did that. well, Moffuck and Co. did. OMG. CRYING. WHY MUST THEY DESTROY OUR SHIP!!

Well this, along with the Doctor's Wife, was probably my favorite episode of the season. But I still had many issues with it, along with a lot of hate towards the "he who thinks he is god" Moffat, and writers ( ... )

Thanks. And yes, I totally agree with what you said too. When they announce the episode, I was expecting a flashback episode with her waiting for the Doctor, and growing up. Going to the psychiatrists, and it influencing her life. But it ended up not being that at all ( ... )

That's exactly how I feel. I was so upset and angry last night, but this morning I have a fresh perspective on things, and that's what I love about reading fan comments/reviews -- helps me see scenes and characters in a different light. With that said, though, I have to agree about Rory. I have tried soooo hard to like him, but it's not happening at all. Moffat gave all the important moments/quotes to Rory, and he's completely forgetting the bond between Amy and the Doctor. I don't want this season to end with Amy and the Doctor no longer friends. I pray things will even out or we'll get some kind of scene between Amy/11 where they try to repair the massive amounts of damage that has been done to their relationship. Reset the whole damn season! Go back to the "Impossible Astronaut" and start over from scratch, man ( ... )
