TV Talk, or, I overanalyze a show at 1 am

Okay, so, I've been watching Castle from the first season to the current, and I finally got to season 3, episodes 16 and 17. AKA the ones with the terrorist plots ad dirty bombs and stuff. And, as nobleplatypus calls it, the infamous freezer scene.

So I actually watch this show as a fun thing. It's not usually very thought-provoking. It's silly, fun to solve ( Read more... )

Hahaha, the ep aired WAAAAAY after Inception, so no excuses, there. XD

I have some real problems with the whole Josh character. He spent so much time only being mentioned in passing that I started referring to him as Astronaut Mike Dexter in my head. He's just SUCH a blatant space-filler. We were given no opportunity to formulate an opinion about him before he became Beckett's SO, so all our opinions are just based on that (which means they're largely negative, because who honestly wants Beckett to date someone other than Castle? :P). Ugh, writers. You dropped the ball ( ... )

Yeah, I actually didn't even remember Josh's name until you mentioned it, which is a pretty good indication that the character is not worth the space they inhabit. Also I think the writers tend to forget about him for weeks at a time and, really, a world-traveling doctor? It just makes me hate him and imagine him as some smug asshole, which makes me lose respect for Beckett. Bleh.

Also: Moar freezer rewrite. I'm calling yours canon, ok?

I did like the title card thing although it actually made me laugh a little. It was a lot more classy than the usual thing, though, you're right. It would've been kind of intrusive if they did the guitar riff.

Okay, I'm convinced that I need to watch this now. (Partly because of your praising, mostly because Nathan Fillion.) But damnit I need to get through Buffy and Firefly and aaaaaaaaaaa.

Firefly first! Get on it, it's really as good as the hype. Seriously.
I actually have never been that interested in Buffy, though, so I can't say I'm as excited about you watching it?
