I draw in my notebooks a lot when I should be taking notes, and sometimes it's kind of good, so today I scanned all my little sketches and now I am showing them to you! This is a two-part series because I started doing just sketches from this semester, and then realized that I want to scan moar, MOAR! So there'll be another post tomorrow or maybe saturday with older sketches from this summer and last year.
We begin!
Some dude in my nonfiction class. He kept saying "bombed" instead of drunk, it was amusing
The guy at the bottom is one of the main characters of Haven, Arizona, the thing that was going to be my NaNo before the Madoline story eclipsed it. He's supposed to look like that, if not worse.
Madoline, by the way, is drawn at the top of the page.
Uh, this one needs some backstory...there's a guy in my russian class who is one of 3 Mischas. There's Bolshoi Misha, who is a large guy, Liubimoi Mischa, who is the best Mischa, and then Smug Mischa. Smug Mischa is a native speaker of Russian, so he should be in a higher level of the class, but he'd rather stay and be smug about EVERYTHING. He's a horrible teacher's pet and can't keep his stupid mouth shut, and Liz and I sit in our corner and roll our eyes whenever he speaks. I HATE HIM. So this was drawn on a day when he was particularly smug, and in fact created a vortex of smugness which the entire class was sucked into.
Also, the guy at the top is from the cover of our textbook, which might be the most awkward textbook cover in the history of time.
Was someone bored in class? Someone was.
Bros, Nixon and self-portraits! THAT'S WHAT I LIKE!!!
Part of my drawing class. I was only supposed to draw shapes of light, which is why it looks a bit, um, weird.
NOM
More later!
