so i spent a while last night making a spreadsheet for all my courses. it was kind of insane. the first page has the semesters listed across the top and then the classes i plan on taking. easy enough. then the second page is basically a copy pasta of this (warning, pdf), which is a list of all the requirements for my major at gcc. THEN i filled out

i don't do it every semester, and in fact this is the first time i ever have! it does seem to work though.

that is LAME. i was actually complaining to the scene shop guy about how they told NO ONE about the cancellations, and he agreed that it was pretty ridic.
