i've actually never read tom sawyer or huckleberry finn. it just wasn't ever assigned and i haven't gotten around to them yet. i do know the basic stories though; i'm not completely clueless.

when i was in school, both tom sawyer and huck finn were required reading. time has passed and now they are quietly ignored or outright banned in some schools.

banned? oh, right, because there are slaves n' stuff. never mind that tom helps one run away...
