i've actually never read tom sawyer or huckleberry finn. it just wasn't ever assigned and i haven't gotten around to them yet. i do know the basic stories though; i'm not completely clueless.

when i was in school, both tom sawyer and huck finn were required reading. time has passed and now they are quietly ignored or outright banned in some schools.
