when i read the articles i have linked, as well as ones linked from the original one, i cannot believe what our government has done.

last year i joined the ACLU. i used to sneer at them due to my parents disparaging the organisation as leftist, but in my old age i see what they truly represent and wish i had seen the light sooner.

this is not the country i grew up in. why is it turning into an apocalyptic novel's government?
