Again I forgot to do my Grateful 5s! I went to bed earlier with the intention of writing them from my phone (didn't want to turn on the computer), but the cat came and snuggled and so I forgot

Mexican restaurant had 5 stars (20 reviews) on Yelp. It's "El Sombrero", and it was near Hurontario, but there's one actually just off Derry on Financial Road with 4.5 stars (though only 4 reviews). It's not as traditional as La Taquizza, but it's definitely good and we'd go back. I just had some of the leftovers for dinner. :D
Thankfully no bus today! Or I'd have been stuck at work until Sunny could pick me up as I wouldn't have had house keys, any money, no Presto card...
I think my problem is that I do put them off and never get back to them. I used to write immediately, and then I found that I'd be waiting and waiting for a response, so I started delaying writing. And then I turned into one of those 'If I ever write back' kind of people and I don't want that. I think my goal is to write back or manage it (delete, archive, tag, etc) within 48 hours. And I think I'm going to not check email so often...but then I won't have gchat and that'd be sad.
Maybe I can set a timer and say "5 minutes to write back to emails...GO" and see how many I get processed in that time. Might make me write more to the point.
Would you mind sending me a sample of your neutral business language? I'm not fully sure what you mean, but I understand the benefits as you've outlined them. Great idea on basic "stock" messages, too...
I'll give a couple of RL examples. This one is a typical rejection notice for a post on EGL, and I'll post a work email for you tomorrow at some point (hard to come up with a random one off the top of my head. XD). Obviously the former is much more casual, but I think the basic difference is really just not as many please's and thank you's. If you're sending them all for causal personal emails (ie replies to AN staff stuff), it's easy to throw a couple of emoticons at the end of paragraphs to make the tone lighter

Related to this, I found this article on The Daily Muse about 3 Gmail Labs that one needs to up productivity with emails, so I activated the two I didn't have already ('canned responses' [still have to figure out how it works] and the one that goes to the next mail instead of the inbox). http://www.thedailymuse.com/toolsskills/3-gmail-labs-you-need-now/ Let's see how they work!
Farm eggs certainly taste fresher than the store--I know from firsthand experience that eggs delivered to the store can sit for weeks and weeks before there's room for them to go into the case. Store eggs are not at all fresh.

Hopefully you don't have to take the bus home if your purse is at home!
