You're reading The Great Gatsby? My cousin and I are analyzing it for English Lit as well. I read it for the second time this year and I was surprised by how much I actually enjoyed it more than the first time. I had been rather biased against it because it seems to be standard reading for Literature courses (and therefore how could it be interesting? hehe), but I realized how amazing his writing is. Thank you =) Elrond is quite well, even if there are a number of things he doesn't have that Fëanor does.
Yeah, Gatsby is our coursework text-one 3000 word assignment due for next Thursday. It's not the length that bothers me, (well, it kinda is, since I'll probably end up with about 5000 and OCR are really strict) it's the time: I need to sit and stare at a page of scribbles and then go through a refining process of many re-thinks, additions, and checking I've got everything where I want it =) Oh, well, there's always the second draft over Easter! I do enjoy the book, and I like learning about it, too...it's good, but weird. There's a quotation from a critic that describes it pretty well, but I can't quite remember the wording :)
