I was devastated when I found out it wasn't Kon. I seriously almost cried, which is kind of pathetic, but still. It completely ruined my master plan for BftC: Dick becomes Batman, Jason does whatever he does (as long as he's working with his brothers), Timmy stays Robin, and Kon is Nightwing, and Timmy is happy. Darn you DC! My plan was better!
*nods fanatically* I know! What's Kon gonna do now, huh? For that matter, what happens to the double Nightwings once Bruce (inevitably) comes back?
And since WHEN does Chris have TTK?? That's Kon's trademark thing, I can't believe they'd give it so someone else- much less Superman's "other kid". Gaah!
Oh yeah, Bruce is so coming back. He's been Batman for 75 years, they're not going to risk losing readers by killing him off. At least now we won't feel bad when he does come back and Dick goes back to being Nightwing and kicks the usurper off the job. As for the TTK thing, it seems kinda like one of two things happened: 1) It was going to be Kon, and they changed their minds at the last second 2) They wanted to make us all cry by making us think it was Kon since TTK is his and trademarked and everything, and then crushing our hopes. At least now Kon can sue Chris when he comes back to life. Which he will, dangit!
I'm a bit uneasy with your intense dislike of Chris... *huggles him* I like the idea of him, and I like him a ton, but it seems this whole arc is an effort to raise him up in Kon's stead. I hate this.
Also, I doubt Nightwing will kick his ass, as he's the kryptonian, and therefor slightly more authentic one. Which sucks.
We can kick Thara's ass for coming up with this crazy plan, though, right? She's surely behind the plot to make us cry- because that's what it is.
