I love AU's like this and wish this is what had happened instead.

I would have loved to see Norrington follow Elizabeth into the brethren...and Jack's reaction.

Oh yes, this is definitely what should have happened to James in AWE. *deep sigh*

I love the wave of "fix it fics" that's currently all over the fan fic lists, and this is a very good one. I hope you will write more about James' adventures aboard the Empress and during the maelstrom and, perhaps, also what happens to him after AWE verse. Well done!
