Bad news from Saiyuki front: again no chapter for this month! Minekura says, through Twitter, a chapter will be published on next issue with a cover made by her: in my opinion I’d prefer not having the illustrated cover but, instead, a couple of more story pages

I really hope that she will finally be able to go back to regular chapters. The wait has been so long. I do love getting new merchandise and things we can purchase, but still...if the manga doesn't pick up in Japan there is much less chance that international publishers will pick it up.

I'm grateful for the people that post it online but it's nicer to be able to own the books.

I like merchandise very much too (Minekura's art is beautiful), but only when I have also some chapters!
In Italy we are very lucky because we have all Saiyuki manga published and translated by Dynit (even Blast and Ibun): there are some mistakes, but it’s better than nothing! I think I’m one of few people who prefer “paper” instead of “electronic” books.

Oh I agree, it's way better than nothing ! xD I should try learning some Italian so I can read it, heh heh :3 wish I knew Japanese, but I only know English and Spanish.

Still, I do hope for an official English release since it's the language most people can read - it would revitalize the fandom so much. No news as of yet of who licensed Saiyuki Reload Blast in English, so still have to wait.

I wish I knew Japanese too: It would be easier (and funnier) reading manga and watching anime!

If I remember well there was a petition about it signed online (but I don't know if is concluded).
