I can't quite believe it'll be over, but at the same time I'm terribly excited. I just hope the episode doesn't let us down - but my gut feeling tells me it won't. The question is, can I trust my gut? :-P

The fact that they are quitting while they are ahead and not dragging it out for as many seasons as possible (modulo the possible existence of the '80s sequel) gives me Hope on that front.

God, I am bursting with the desire for it to be 9pm already. I am seriously considering disconnecting my phone and I never do that.

Absolutely. I think that Life on Mars is a show that wouldn't be as brilliant as it is if it was dragged out for too long. Sure, you could have the 70s cop show aspect, but Sam's connection to the present day storyline would lose impact if not resolved at some point, if you know what I mean. Also, they can only have so many episodes without something happening between Sam and Annie. I love the tension they've built up there, but if it dragged out any longer it would become annoying.
