Good grief, what a story!! You've covered nearly every base of why I disliked camping so much as a child! The only thing you left out was dive-bombing mosquitoes! :D

Hahaha! And actually, it might read like a tragedy, but I found the whole experience very exciting. I'm sure that trip will be a memory will be one talked about for years -- "Remember when we went camping and our campsite practically washed away in a flash flood?"

The rest of the trip was five-star fun, and it was so beautiful after the storm. Eh... I really don't mind the chaos of the evacuation in all honestly, now that I'm warm and dry!
