Yes, they removed the second head. It was the first time a baby had ever survived a surgery like that (but only the 10th time in recorded history a birth defect like that had ever been recorded.) Oprah flew the mom, baby, and entire surgical team from Egypt to be on the show.
It was a head and then sort of a neck, or actually some shriveled attempt at what would have been the head's body. It was completely dependant on the baby to survive, but it had a face and would cry and smile and just... very disturbing to see.
