too many notes

I've whittled my Netflix queue down from more than 100 movies/TV shows to around 60. It's probably still too many, but much better than before.

What did you think of The Golden Compass/Northern Lights?

I just ordered the trilogy from Amazon, thinking I should read it before the theatrical release.

I liked TGC, but I don't think it was All That. I wonder if it's too rich to be fully explored in a two-hour movie, especially if they focus more on the action! and adventure! parts of it. It ends on a cliffhanger, so they almost have to make the second movie if the first does well.

I'm betting they skip the parts where Pullman rewrites Genesis.
