talk about - pop culture

Some pop culture notes from the weekend:

I caught most of The Bourne Identity on cable (probably TNT or USA or FX [channels 41 through 43]) yet again. Still a great movie; I love how the action is understated, even the car chase. I figure I can watch it pretty much whenever it comes on.

CUT TO: LARRY, flipping through channels the next day.

Hahahaha, yeah, we liked Drive as well, and I was bitching to my wife about the complete non-US-1-ness of that highway out of Key West. I suspect that's the one highway they've got, and we're gonna see lots of it.

I shudder to think how the Canaveral to Rome leg is going to look. It's coast until Savannah, then flat brush and orchards to Macon, then suburbs and hills to Atlanta, then Appalachian foothills to Rome.

And if they need to be in Rome after sunset but before dark, they're all going to hit Atlanta smack in the middle of rush hour (unless it's a weekend). Can't wait for that.

And they can visit Curt at Berry College! ;-)

I can't tell if you're saying there weren't enough minority actors, or just that the ones they had were stereotyped. Or do you specifically mean that what's his name from Angel really should be there, and that was the glaring omission?

Curt's at Berry? Really? How's his hair?

There aren't enough minority actors, I think, and the few they have are mostly stereotypical. When you have a large ensemble cast and I can count the minorities on one hand - literally - there's a problem.

Where's Al Sharpton on this?
