For the record....

Last night's half-season premiere of Battlestar Galactica kicked ass. Seriously. Favorite moment: Dualla slapping Starbuck.

Tonight is the half-season premiere of Heroes; tomorrow is the half-season premiere of Veronica Mars. With last night's BSG, this makes for the most awesome half-week of television ever ( Read more... )

I still have "If Anyone Falls" by Stevie Nicks stuck in my head.

Perhaps you need a little visit to Disney so you can ride It's a Small World After All.

It's amazing how just reading those words can cause one's skin to crawl.

And now I'm desperately trying to retain Stevie Nicks in a rearguard action against them.

Dammit. Next time be careful what you ask for. Or at least be specific.

Here. How about Barracuda, by the Saddest Women in Rock & Roll - the Wilson sisters?

I remember when 96Rock (RIP) did a spoof of that called "Can of Tuna." Isn't one of them married to Cameron Crowe?

Hells Yeah!!! I love the way they shot that. Starbuck nods off, Dualla's hand creeps into the frame and... KERSLAPPO!!!!

And you know she's been wanting to get a good one in there for a couple of seasons now. Hopefully, Dee will call out Starbuck at the next boxing match.

Barack Obama is not running for President - he's running for Vice President. See: John Edwards, 2004.

It's amazing how few people seem to get that.

I hope he wins, too, because being stuck in the Senate until 2012 or 2016 is goinna make him a lot harder to elect.

True dat. Senators can't get elected. There's a fly in his ointment, though: Black people can't get elected, either. Not yet anyway, no matter what 24 might lead anyone to believe. Throw in his Arab name, and he doesn't have a prayer even before he starts.

At least as a Veep candidate, he can draw attention away from the top of the ticket -- unless the top of the ticket is a Clinton (Hilary) or a Latino (Richardson).

The country may be ready for a woman as President, but not Hilary.

Re: your idiot IT department, I was going to whinge that "you have no idea how hard it's been to get our idiot IT department to change our copyright footer to the current year" ... and then I looked and realized it *still* hasn't changed. Three weeks into the new year.

They always have excuses, trust me, but WTF, people. I pointed it out to my boss, so I get to watch his head asplode today. Cheap entertainment.

I loved the slap, but I also loved Baltar toeing aside dead D'Anna's arm so he could stand in the circle. It was such a little thing, but it was hilarious.

The state gets the *best* IT people, don't we? They are so much smarter than the rest of us. And they never ever talk down to us or micromanage our monitors so we can't even change the contrast. Nope. Not our IT guys.

That little bit was a perfect Baltar moment. He gave her his total undivided attention as she was dying so he could get information; and then, once she was dead, feh. It was All About Baltar.

At least now we know one of the Five Cylons is someone we've met, someone Three's wronged somehow. Maybe the seer from New Caprica?
