I did laugh really hard though when that girl thought she was snarking Dave when he said she didn't do enough different stuff and he said, "But the difference is that I have a job." We cracked up. It always surprises me when people get really bitchy with the band even if they can be harsh. I mean, who cares if YOU think you're good? It's their band and their choice.
There is a Honda Civic in Decatur that is a weird acid green and the license tag says "SOYLENT." I love that.
I laughed at that, too. Dave's a pretty straight-up guy when he comments. You can tell he feels a little guilty when he's negative (unlike Tommy Lee, who enjoys it), but has no qualms about slamming back when the contestant tries to get smart with him.
Part of what makes the show interesting is that no matter how good some of the singers are, they will still get booted if they don't fit in with the band. That's what happened with INXS. This time around, though, it seems like some of these guys can't grasp that concept.
She was great despite absolutely butchering "Dream On." I keep waiting for solo albums from her and Suzie, but I don't think that's gonna happen. RockStar ain't Idol.
