*shivers* This is one helluva dark tale, but written with care and obvious affection. You know I'm not a slasher by nature, but the way you've written the past, and the inevitable future, made me believe. It was logical, this tale you wove, in a heart-stoppingly traumatic way. I don't know the source fic, but your treatment of it is very well constructed, if drenched in sad-inevitabilities.

The source fic is told from the POV of Oz having been turned and Giles being the survivor. As for which fic is unhappier, it's a toss-up.
