I have no idea who Leon Errol is, but I like these photos. :-)

yeah, i didn't either. i had to look him up, but apparently he was a comedian and actor who was popular in the early 20th century. He died in 1951.

Wow. It sounds like he was well known back in the day, but has since been mostly relegated to footnotes on the internet and a footpath near a bus stop.
