I'm actually not sure, it was the only sound card they offered which supported the speakers I wanted. I wasn't very picky, i'm going to swap it out anyways for a MOTU, so i can work on music.

its a great sound card, ive been using it for a year and a half, i love it, ive never had a single problem ever with it.
