It's funny, I was just talking to a friend about this the other day.

For some reason it's so much more moving to me to see a straight man speak about these issues than it is a gay man or a lesbian woman.

The fact that someone who doesn't have a damn thing at stake in this argument would make a point to speak out against something so ridiculous...it hits me in all the right (or wrong?) places.
