Guy was walking back to the Mezzo when he saw Lightning making her way across the street. She didn't look like anyone he'd seen in the city before, and she seemed pretty angry and a little displaced. He wasn't sure if she really wanted anyone to talk to, but if she had just gotten off the train, she might want to know where she was.

"Excuse me, miss, did you just get off the train?"

"All right, thank you," Lightning said wearily, turning on one heel and stuffing the Tone back into her bag. In the morning she'd look in there and make sure nothing else had materialized.
