[WHO] Jim Kirk and Olivia Dunham [WHERE] Lyre Bookstore [ABOUT] A Very Bad Thing happens. And it involves the mistletoe event. Use your imagination. [WARNINGS] Uhhh... IDK?
Really, he had no idea what he had been thinking coming back in here. He just ended up looking at books for a topic that he'd promised he'd stop exhausting himself over. With a sigh, he put the book back on the shelf. There was nothing he could do about it now, and he might as well just leave now before he gave into temptation.
But then there was a voice that startled him. And he knew he wouldn't be leaving any time soon, if he ended up talking to Olivia. "Hey."
She hid a smile at his surprise. It was Tony's job to make fun of him, not hers. She was supposed to act like the responsible adult she was. Except during snowball fights. She was exempt of that duty under those circumstances.
"You're not a person I would have expected to see at a bookstore."
He let out a small chuckle. "I have no idea what I'm doing here, really."
Jim smiled and moved forward, away from the books he'd been looking at. "How are you doing? It sounds like things over at Gigue Hall are pretty exciting at the moment."
Olivia shook her head and made a face. "Exciting is an understatement. It took me ages to get out of there safely. Have to check every doorway before you step through it."
She paused and gave a small shrug. "I'm good. The usual. Work, no answers, more work, still no answers. It's just like home."
