Who is left that / Writes these days?

I went to see Tom McRae live on Friday. It was one of the best gigs I've been to. He's really witty and likeable, he bantered with us a lot, and invited us to sing along. Which I did quite happily. For the past few years my dad has been mentioning Yule instead of xmas. I like the idea - a few bonfires and some holly and ivy. We should do all the pagan festivals though, Samhain instead of Halloween, etc!

Xmas is such a let down. I hate all the shopping. You're right, it's all so false.

Hmm, perhaps on urchin Day we can warm ourslves by pinecone fires and say prayers for our sooty-faced souls...
