There is not, and never was a plan for a sequel.

The Golden Shore was legitimately a safe haven. However ICly things kind of went to shit at the end and it was compromised.

And the golden frogs are an offering to the Heron! She loves golden frogs because they are delicious and obviously the crew wanted to be in her favor. :3
