[When Chase shambled into the room - a couple glass bottles clinking, cradled in one arm as that hand held two glasses, the other holding onto a big two litre bottle of Coke - the first thing he noticed was that Kage had already cracked open a beer.]

You started drinking without me?

[Kage waves his hand for Chase to be silent and slowly withdraws his hand from the stack. Two cartons of cigarettes!]

I got bored, kiddo. You're late.

Well, it was kinda' short notice...

[He trailed off, shuffling over to the couch and setting his swag down on the table, bit by bit.]

Besides, this shit's meant to be seen fucked up - if you don't see it when you're fucked up, you either saw it in theatres and were too lame to sneak something in or you're doing it wrong.

[Kage snatches the smokes off the bottle and then grabs the beer. He lifts his head and slouches down, holding up one of the packs.]

These're pot cigarettes, kiddo.

[Kage opens the package and takes one for himself, then tosses the pack to Chase.]

Go nuts.

[The First Mate pulls out his dented silver zippo and after a few clinks, lights up and takes his first lungful. He holds it in, getting the crumpled brow that smokers get when they're waiting for enough time to pass and then he exhales the smoke.

It'll take another few seconds before it starts to hit him, but Kage's already chilling out in anticipation.]
