It was quiet here. That was apart of the appeal. It was as though he had stepped off the Elegante all together and had returned to the wind and hills of Hyrule that he so coveted. So much had happened since his arrival and it gave him so much to think about. Suddenly his life had become more than just
power and greed.

There were layers beneath that he had not touched in years and that bothered him. Everything that he felt, thought, that belonged to the weak. Ganondorf was anything but. He didn't want to think that everything he had worked so hard to achieve would be eroded away.

Was she the source of this confliction? He couldn't decide. But he did know that she invaded his thoughts and it was becoming more difficult to will them away. He wanted to shake her off, disregard her like he did everything and everyone else.

He couldn't and it irritated him to end.

Perhaps if Sheik had been locked into his thoughts he wouldn't have noticed the Gerudo king. Sheik was an observant man, however, or vessel, or whatever it was he was being defined as in the most recent days. Either way, it didn't take a second look to see the taller man.

He was intimidating. There was something different about him, something that made him stand out from his ascendant. Sheik only remembered being in Ganondorf's midst during the Imprisonment War. He'd lowered to one knee and proclaimed his loyalty to the man, all nothing more than a clever ruse. How was he spoken of in the future, he wondered? Likelihood was that no one knew anything of him.

It would have destroyed Princess Zelda, after all.

He plucked a few more strings, strafed across the flowers thoughtfully, and approached, more than a little careful in Ganondorf's company. "What could possibly bring you here at this time?"

Sheik did not startle him. But Ganondorf was not expecting him to be here. He only gave the Sheikah a cursory glance before returning to staring out at the expanse of flowers. He was here to think, not that Sheik needed to know that.

"That is my business, boy," he replied.

He listened to Sheik pluck at the harp and he exhaled. He hated to admit it, but it was soothing. If only he did not loathe Sheik, it would probably be a little more relaxing. Instead, his shoulders tensed and he glanced at Sheik again.

"Is there a reason you are pestering me?"

"I am pestering you," Sheik replied with a bit of mirth hidden in his tone, except it was a little less than hidden. "I was unaware that it was a bit of a "felony" for us to share the same space. This ship is certainly large enough for the both of us."

It was a curious thing, really, to see such a heartless man in a field of things that seemed to have plenty of heart. He didn't belong at all. Sheik wasn't about to say it, however. It wasn't his style, and definitely not his prerogative.

"You haven't answered my question yet."

He lowered his harp and stopped at Ganondorf's side, the difference in heights certainly remarkable. Perhaps he was just looking for something far beyond than what Sheik could see. Their eyes were so very different. Sheik didn't even know where to begin assuming what Ganondorf chose to perceive.
