Characters: Phoenix (ecopiracy), Ashelin (nottheaveragekg) Location: Deck 11 and so on and so on and so on Date: Right now Rating: PG13, probably for Ashelin's mouth.
The thing about Deck 11 was that Ashelin and Torn were not the only ones who lived there. That wasn't to say that either of them forgot that fact...
But it meant that it shouldn't be a surprise when someone other than the man Ashelin wanted to see came strolling down the corridor. Phoenix stopped and lifted an eyebrow. Why was Ashelin standing outside her room?
"Ashelin?"
Immediately his plans shifted. Revisiting Deck 15 could wait. Ashelin Praxis did not idle in the halls for no good reason.
She was still thinking about it, still contemplating on what to do. Even if she did go see Torn, she wasn't up to that whole, showing herself in without his permission. It wasn't even permission. It just wasn't the Underground where she could just walk right on in, hit him upside the head, and ask him what was going on. Things didn't work that way.
Her posture jerked to attention and it was a snapped gesture when Phoenix addressed her. Her green eyes rested on his and she stared for a good few moments before lowering her arms. Mar, she must have looked fucking stupid just standing around like that.
"Phoenix. What brings you this way?" His room was at least northeast of where she and Torn were located.
"I was on my way to Deck 15 - the deck I found that book I quoted over the ShipNet. I have not yet gone through all of the books that are down there."
He eyed her. She was not going to throw him off track that easily. "And you? Is there something in specific that you're doing?" Besides standing there and staring off into space. That was a given, and he didn't think she'd appreciate it if he phrased it like that.
Obviously. That seemed too abrupt to leave him with. He wanted to go down to the caves. Ashelin hadn't personally gone, but she'd passed them while trying to get to other decks, like the racing deck. She couldn't say she was interested in racing at the particular moment, though.
She gave a look, more of one to just level him with. Ashelin never left much to the imagination, though. Things were good when they were out there to be seen. No beating around stuff.
"You're investigating," she observed, or assumed. Both seemed about the same in that moment.

Well, maybe he'd been looking for her.
