Kusanagi watched Ter'thelas from the stairwell, not wanting to disturb his concentration. Only when he paused in his drill did she approach, intentionally walking heavily so her footfalls would alert him to her presence. Those ears had to be good for something besides the heat loss she could see radiating in the infrared.
They were indeed good for something, Major. He turned as he heard the footstep on the deck, breaking into a grin and whipping the sword up into a sharp salute, followed by a courtly bow.
"Ah, Major Kusanagi. How good to see you. My apologies for the delay."
Kusanagi returned his salute with her empty hand, touching her fingers to the tip of her eyebrow. Her gesture was considerably less sharp than his, and her own bow was more like an oversize nod.
[The six-foot three woman steps into the open air, wearing a snug but not particularly flattering body suit; she had yet to discover deck 12. She wasn't sure who she was looking for, so she looks about with interest.]
