[Carnival has always struck Lily with some sort of sick fascination. The repulsive stench and the eerie, childlike music only fueled her desire to explore and learn. She strides down the ramp towards the heart of Carnival with the others, keeping in the front, just behind Link. She's an important part of this witch hunt, and she wants everyone to remember it.
She turns Erol's bone knife over and over in her hands, running her fingertips along the sharp blade. Lily looks down at it briefly. The mere sight of it fills her with rage and pain and hatred, but not because it was made from Even's antlers. It does so because she can so clearly visualize plunging it through Shayn's forehead.
[Considering he comes from the end of life as he knows it, where dead bodies are common place and freaky bugs turn up occasionally... this is the freakiest thing he's ever seen.
He rolls the rock in his hand around nervously, squeezing it every now and then.]
[Kate's recent efforts at controlling her emotions were well needed in this place. She had never been, she had been well warned. But she wasn't going to sit on the sidelines. She could help her friends. Keeping her eyes focused on Midna and the Wolf, she did her best to block out everything else she saw.]
[Feeling her own fear building, she began to hum. She wouldn't use words yet, they needed to be silent, but the quiet notes of her voice steeled her nerves, and would do the same for anyone else who cared to listen, and who was on Kate's side.]
[They never had anything this screwy back in Disney Verse.
Though, he had heard of the villain who gave people nightmares. His main targets were young children and idiots who thought it was funny to nick-name him 'Freddie'.
Warren descends the ramp, hands in his pockets, eying the surroundings warily. As dreadful as the Carnival may be, the teenager still parts from the group once on solid ground. He moves at it's far edge, a foot from him and the closest person.
A whiny from the carousel catches his attention. He picks up pace, moving even further from the rest of the passengers.]
There are a lot of shadows in Carnival, and was that thunder or a bear's echoing roar? That was most certainly a woman's laughter.
The danger of a bear is that they're like a mack truck that can move like a figure skater. They're fast and they're mean and they're almost all muscle and claw and teeth.
You don't really have to worry about the claws, Warren. It's that first swipe that'll take you down. It feels like getting hit by a building. After that, you're too stunned to feel the claws and teeth rending your flesh.
There are shadows in Carnival, campers. And they are watching you.
He doesn't get long to berate himself about it, though.
He'll have to do that once he's back from being flat-lined. The best he can do is warn the other passengers by letting out a surprised and pained yell before hitting the ground.]

This disgusting, rotting, filthy room was the infamous Camp Carnival.
Reminded Praxis of the slums, to be perfectly honest.
The large man takes up the rear of the group, popping his knuckles after his first few steps down the ramp. It sags from the weight of him.]

Before he can move to herd Warren back, the bear had already gotten to him.
He holds his hand up to signal the group to stop, before pointing in the direction of Warren's yell.]
