To be fair, Sean didn't normally fight like he was ready to kill. He just needed some form of release every so often and Herz was the unlucky soul to be caught in the line of fire. On a better day he would have made it clear there were no hard feelings, the fight was in good fun, goofed, etcetera.
And he did get what he wanted in the end.
Having accomplished that he made his way past any onlookers in a saunter, rotating the shoulder attached to his still-throbbing neck. The weight of somebody staring at him tweaked at his awareness, turning his head. Sean didn't slow down, but he did meet Vie's eyes and look interested in a laidback sort of way.
She met his gaze, holding it for a moment before glancing away. Taking his gaze as an invitation to approach, Vie started towards him and slipped silently into step beside. A small smile played at her lips, and when she spoke her tone was relaxed and casual. She was aware that this man could be dangerous, but one never got questions answered without a bit of risk.
"You fought well."
It's an even compliment, neither overly praising him or understating his abilities.
He ducked his head, a half-assed attempt at modesty, and ruined the effect by smirking unrepentantly. His lids flickered as he gave her an appreciative but respectfully quick assessment. Sean diverted his line of sight to the far-off stairwell.
"Thank'ye lass. I wish I'd been payin' the other bouts more mind earlier on-- ya look grand. You won, right?"
While they walked together he was guilty of subconsciously putting just a little bit more swagger into his walk. Hey, if he had an admirer, no reason not to work it.
She couldn't not smile at his failed attempt to be modest. At the mention of her own fight, Vie nodded, absently tonguing at the split on her lip. It had already healed quite a bit to what it was when her fight had ended, but she could still taste copper. "I did, yes. Mikaela was a stronger opponent than I expected her to be. Should I face her again, I'll not play around quite as much as I did."
Vie looked up at him, shrugging a shoulder and still smiling. "Might I ask your name?"
