Damnit that song is stuck in my head >/ntjstapwnAugust 12 2010, 01:28:46 UTC
Marco is helping tend the bar, because even a party needs someone to handle drinks. But despite that, he's drinking himself and trying to socialize. Because, hey, a party isn't a party without a good buzz going and people to talk to.
[Well here have a priest. He hasn't been to a party in a while and being cooped up in his room hasn't helped him much. So he strolls up to her, cup of punch in hand.]
It seems the party's been in swing for a little while by the time the door opens again and happens to spit a particular grounded air pirate into the room. He seems a little out of breath, probably because the dork was running most of the trip over, but he seems to be in pretty good spirits once he's arrived.
When he happens to spy the girl of the hour, he walks over and offers a wave, "Hey Mikeala, sorry I'm late." He chuckles and scratches the back of his head, "I kinda got lost on the way over."
With a broad smile, she reaches to give him a warm hug.
"Hey, it's okay! I've been here over a year and I still get lost sometimes." Drink in hand, she gestures. "I'm really glad you came - I definitely appreciate it."
Sorry this took a little while, back-tagging okie?failatskypirateAugust 14 2010, 08:38:51 UTC
Cou happily pats her on the back during the hug, smiling like the kid that just got the toy in the cereal box.
"Hey, there's no way I'd miss a party for ya! Yer one of my best friends here."
After they part from the hug, he fishes around in his jacket for a little bit, pulling out a small brown-paper-wrapped parcel. Should she open it there, she'd find a simple silver chain with an empty half-dollar-sized locket at the end of it.
Mikaela's cheeks blush a fraction at his statement, but she's distracted by the little packages that's pressed into her palms.
"Oh, you did?" She carefully opens the brown paper, then blinks down at the chain and pendant, her smile growing bigger. It clearly meant a lot to her to receive something that nice, and he gets another quick hug for it, too.
"Thanks, this...this is really nice. It uh, means a lot." More than he knows, probably.

Hey yourself. Where've you been hiding, huh?

Not really hiding. Just keeping out of trouble.
[He's saving that for when that storm hits.]
