Renovation Head Meth's Room

Jul 13, 2009 23:48

Meth's room is almost impossibly clean and organized. The closet is full of clothes for both work and leisure. The bed is made, and there is nothing on the floor except for a large trunk at the foot of the bed. It appears to be seamless, and impossible to open. If someone were strong enough to lift the trunk, they might hear the sound of several ( Read more... )

[What is the first thing Daxter does upon finding something that was once previously closed off to him and totally off limits and isn't dangerous at first glance?

That's right. He takes complete and total advantage of it.

Using a stealth that wasn't available to him when he was still elvish, Daxter creeps into the room on all fours, low to the ground (as if it would negate the fact that he's a screamingly bright orange) and poking about curiously.]

[The room does not swallow Daxter in a single gulp, but remains distinctly quiet and room-like.

The lights are off, and it smells the slightest bit like pencil shavings.]

[Hmmm. Daxter pushes himself back onto two feet, sauntering around the room and just generally putting his nose where it doesn't belong. A short hop and a climb later, he's atop the desk. The photographs get a moment of his attention, but they aren't interesting enough to keep his interest.

He moves on to the filing cabinet, idly tugging open a drawer and flipping through the folders with an air of boredom. He should've brought Jak with him; the big guy would make the work go quicker, he seemed to have a knack for finding the important stuff first. But Jak needed his rest.

Daxter stops short when he notices a couple familiar names. Haven and Spargus? He tugs the blueprints free; a few flip open and drift to the floor, but he keeps the Haven City papers safe beneath his arm, hopping over to the desk to spread them out. The slums. The industrial district. The palace, the docks, even the abandoned sectors that were once Sandover.

A lot of the technical jargon Daxter doesn't understand, but he does recognize the words "Eco ( ... )

[Along with the Haven City blueprints, there is another set that depict a rather unfamiliar building. The plans place it a mere four blocks away from the fortress. It's an elegante, thirty-floor skyscraper labeled, "Building 37." Unfortunately, the rest of the notations are not in common, and the purpose of the building remains a mystery.]

[Open rooms. It is the first sign that something is amiss. With whatever may be foul and lingering within the air, Zelda's position is no longer guaranteed to be safe. The Sheikah has chosen to show himself once more and will continue to stay around until things come to an uneasy peace--if such a thing may exist.

This is a grand opportunity, however. He may be able to find something of use, and even if it is not for him, then it will be for his charge. Her predicament is what is most important to him, and for her he'll go to any lengths.

Sheik's knowledge of the ship goes as far as Zelda's, and only because she's allowed him to know. With watchful eyes and a careful stance, he strafes across the floor. Whose... room could this be? Which one of the wretched crew? Certainly one of which he is not remotely familiar with. No matter. He'll take something of interest, he assumes, and disappear into the shadows of the ship.]

[The room is much as it was before, however there is evidence that someone else has already been there. Files are strewn on the desk and floor and drawers are open. Perhaps someone has already taken a few items of interest?

[It's a mess. Well, maybe not quite that bad, but it's certainly not tidy. Clearly someone else had the same idea that Sheik's got. That's a shame.

He idly shuffles through the files of the desk and kicks aside some of the litter on the floor, annoyed by the idea that he hasn't found anything of use just yet. Then he pauses and his blond eyebrows furrow.

Seriously...?

The filing cabinet. He reaches for a series of the blueprints and flips through them. Now... what could the ship's crew and captain be wanting with these...?]

[What the crew member may want with the plans is anyone's guess. As he flips through the files, a name on a green folder might catch his eye.
