Halloween party!

Nov 01, 2010 18:04

Every passenger will suddenly find themselves whisked to deck 20 for Redd's annual Halloween party (it's a day late, but shhh, he's been busy)!  It has been programmed to look like a cemetery, complete with stone gravestones and long, damp grass padded out with clumps of soft soil.  Ooooh, spooky!   The headstones read many names, none of which are ( Read more... )

Doumeki's first thought upon suddenly not being in his room any more is something along the lines of: "What?" Eloquent, I know. He'll pause a moment to take stock of his surroundings-the awkward-looking buffet, the alcohol, his costume (a cowboy,)-before turning to the person next to him.

"What happen?"

"The scary part is more for the adults. The children go trick-or-treating, where they go door-to-door and are given candy. And everyone dresses up in costumes."

"That sounds like fun!"

[Maybe the children at the nursery would like to try it? She sure she could set something up when she returns.]

"Is it celebrated in japan?"

"Not until more recent years, but time I come from, yes."

"Maybe we are from different Japans after all. Ioryogi-san taught me about different celebrations in Japan but he never mentioned Halloween."

"There can be many different Japans out in the universe. It's possible."

[Doesn't she know it.

But she had been hopeful that there would be someone here from the world she had left. She's grown to love that world even if it's not really hers.]

[a pause on Doumeki's end. He doesn't really know what she's thinking, but he'll add his two cents anyway]

"Even if we aren't from the same Japan, at least we speak the same language, still."

[Oh, he's trying. She appreciates that.]

"Thank You, Doumeki-san"

[She been saying that a lot recently.]

"Sure." [he's pretty bad at "you're welcome" also, but there's his best shot]

"I really do appreciate it."

[He's trying and that can mean more then actually being good at comforting. It cheers her up.

As much as Kobato likes talking to Doumeki, she's thinking of exploring more of the party.]

"I'll see you later Doumeki-san"

[She gives a happy little nod and scampers off, disappearing into the crowd of passengers.]

Well, good thing Castiel happens to be nearby, "Another party."

He looks very put-out. He doesn't really like to be human. And the booze really sucked.

"Redd likes to force the passengers into attending whatever celebration he feels like throwing. And they have to be in appropriate attire."

Castiel knocks back a little bit of the vodka from the bottle in his hand. Whoever thought it would be hilarious to dress him as Frankenstein's monster was a terrible person.
