The wings have gone. It's a relief, to not wake up with those monstrosities... I'm glad to have not felt any side effects.
Did you have fun at your party, Usagi-chan? Neji-san, the cake was extraordinary. I hope I may indulge in your excellent cooking again. Usagi-chan does have a talent for finding the best food in town.

Reasonable enough, though I have not agreed yet. What, exactly, would you be willing to offer in return, Michiru-san?
[Also sets down his cup, gauging her. He can tell she would be a formidable opponent, which is why he doesn't want to give her that chance.
Perhaps. But it is you who are intent on making us enemies.

I seem to remember you playing on my weaknesses quite recently. [self-depreciating laughter] That does not precisely make us friends.
What kind of offer would I have to make, Zexion-san? I don't know what it is you're after.
Reply
Not precisely, no. But then again, it does not necessarily make us enemies, either. I believe we fall quite firmly into the space between light and darkness.
[He considers this for a moment]
Perhaps something that would satisfy my curiosity? As a scientist, of course. An experiment, if you will.
Reply
In some ways, that's more dangerous. What kind of experiment?
Reply
Quite true. I have always been intrigued by matters concerning the heart, Michiru-san, and I believe yours would be an excellent study. I have already witnessed the darkness you strive so hard to conceal. I wish to unlock it, to allow it to take the course you deny it. If light always prevails, as you say, then you shall be no more the worse for wear.
[will be interested to see how she responds, whether or not she agrees.]

I see.
[Is it worth it, to make herself vulnerable to this man in this way? To be able to protect those who need protection, to perhaps know more about Zexion's plans, and therefore how to stop them?]
What do you gain from such an experiment?
Reply
I gain the opportunity to observe your reactions, Michiru-san, to test the strength of your heart. I have seen many who were unable to resist their own darkness, but you strike me as a potentially unique case. Perhaps you will even disprove my theories. That is, if we can in fact come to an agreement.
[he smirks, making it a challenge]

I don't want to make this bargain. I don't trust you, or your methods.
[turns to face him, eyes open and blazing, looking every bit the strong warrior she is]
But if it will prevent you from harming others, then it is a sacrifice I am willing to make.
How curious are you, Zexion-san? [she is challenging him, now]
Reply
I would be loathe to force you into an arrangement with which you were uncomfortable, Michiru-san, generous though your offer is.
[brushes off his coat and regards her with a smug look]
As for my curiosity, I believe it has been satiated for the moment. I do hope this little conversation will not have a negative impact on our relationship.
